Your Entertainment Programme

A full entertainment programme is ongoing throughout the year, although you only need participate in those you choose to. Your participation in deciding on future activities, entertainment, events and outings is encouraged at the regular resident meetings.

The following key objectives are included:

• To maintain old interests whilst having the opportunity to explore new ones.
• To offer activities which provide physical exercise and encourage mental stimulation.
• To provide activities suitable for both groups and individuals.
• To run regular activities together with one off special events and celebrations.
  

The homes policy on “therapeutic activities” takes into account your interests, skills, experiences, personalities and medical condition. The home offers a wide range of activities designed to encourage you to keep mobile, and most importantly take an interest in life.

All outings are geared to your needs and capabilities and due to this only a limited number of places are available on any one outing.

Staff encourage, and in certain instances help, you pursue your hobbies and interests.

The Clients Social Fund
We contribute a sum of money each month into your Clients Social Fund (CSF).  We also organise regular Fund Raising Events within the Home to raise further money for your CSF.  The CSF is used solely for your Social Programme. For complete transparency we display your CSF Financial Statement on the Home’s Notice Board each month detailing all Income and Expenditure.

The Main Monthly Entertainment Events are planned up to 12 months in advance to ensure we deliver quality Entertainers.  In addition several other Entertainment or Outings are provided each month.  Daily Activities are also arranged and a Monthly Schedule provided.  Your Social Programme is designed with your, and the other clients, preferences in mind.  Suggestions are always welcome from any interested party.

Details of your forthcoming Social Programme are displayed on the Social Notice Boards near the Reception.  Should you wish to invite your relatives or friends to the Main Seasonal Events staff will assist you with Invitations.
