Your private room
The home has 32 single bedrooms of which 6 have toilets en-suite.
The ground floor accommodates 13 rooms, all of which have patio doors leading into the gardens and there are 19 rooms on the upper floors. All rooms are at least 10 square metres in size and 8 are over 12 square metres.
Your bedroom is your private room, which you may lock, no one will go into it without your permission except staff in emergencies or for cleaning and maintenance.
For two clients who prefer to share, your two rooms may be converted to a suite of a sitting room and a twin bedroom.
All bedrooms are furnished to a high standard with facilities including:

If you prefer, you may bring your own furniture. Bringing your own personal possessions is encouraged, so that you live in surroundings with which you are familiar and comfortable.
Social rooms to enjoy
All of the communal rooms are very comfortable, furnished to a high standard and centrally heated. You may choose between two lounges
(25 square metres each) depending if you wish to read, listen to music, watch TV, take part in activities or just chat to other residents enjoying the gardens. There is a split dining room and lounge (60 sq mtrs), allowing you choice of seating.
You will be encouraged to use these rooms, however, if you choose to stay in your own bedroom you may do so. There is also a reception area (10 sq mtrs) and meeting room (7 sq mtrs).
Your relatives and visitors are welcome
Your relatives and friends will be encouraged to visit regularly and maintain contact by letter or telephone when visiting is not possible. In these cases, staff will offer to assist you where help may be needed.
Visitors will be welcomed at all reasonable times but are advised to avoid meal times unless they are dining with you. They are also welcome to attend the various parties and functions held throughout the course of the year. No provision is made for overnight visitors.
All visitors are requested to let the person in charge know of their arrival and departure from the home and for security and fire safety reasons sign in and out of the visitor’s book on each occasion.
You will have the right to refuse to see any visitor, and this right will be respected and upheld by the staff who will, if necessary, inform the visitors of your wishes.
Your participation is encouraged
We welcome your involvement in decision-making regarding the running of your home. The Home Manager and care team will regularly consult with you about new ideas and consider your comments.
We hold regular resident meetings to discuss anything and everything that goes on at the home. You will decide the agenda and can discuss any matters concerning the running of the home or other subjects of general interest. Your family and close friends are invited to participate.
A newsletter is produced by the Home Manager in between the meetings to keep you up to date.
Televisions
Televisions and their licenses are provided in the communal rooms. A TV aerial socket is provided in your room, should you wish to bring in a television, however, the License fee is your responsibility which, at the time of writing is £7.50 if you are under 75 and free if you are older. We do not provide TV's to private rooms and except no liability for any donated by a previous occupier.

The Home Manager will welcome the opportunity to show you and your family around The Willows. You are welcome at any time to come and see for yourself what we have to offer however, a prior appointment is best to ensure that the Home Manager is able to allocate to you the time you deserve.
